Hello Friday! Here's my Cabernet fix...
Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Light nose, and still tight, with blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, light vegetables, coffee, chocolates and peppercorn.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Extra dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, vanilla, licorice, light oak, peppercorn, spices and beef jerky.
Nice finish with firm tannins and black pepper.
This is a very nice Napa Cabernet. Still young, but already enjoyable, even by itself. Balanced, complex and interesting. Very dry with big tannins and a nice mouthfeel.
Needs an hour to open up. This should be much better in a couple of years.
14.1% alcohol by volume.

Very different from a typical Napa Cab - A little dry/chalky..... Leather, cherry and chocolate with rose petal. Decanted for 40 minutes.

Jul 12th, 2016I'm digging the ruby color in the glass and the floral and ripe fruit aromas. Medium to full bodied with dark fruit jumping out everywhere. Plums, cherries, blackberries , and some chocolate. Soft tannins with a long, smoky finish. Really, really pleasant stuff. My new go to.

A little aeration and this young cab comes out with a rich and worthy taste, lots of dark fruit flavor. Nice wine to unwind with, disappears quickly ;)
