The edges have been smoothed out with time but fruit and texture still intact. Missing some acid to complement the bold flavors and extraction. My last bottle from the Celia years...

One of my favorite Merlots of all time. The extra aging was definitely beneficial for this wine. Like sippin cashmere with a finish of blueberry pie. Finish lingers considerably....thanks Celia!

I standby my previous note, that you would be hard pressed to identify this as a Merlot. Fantastic wine that shows finesse and substance.

The nose was very Vicks, viable heat and yield signs....a bit ripe but it rounded out very well after 90 min in the decanter. Certainly a "different" expression of merlot. I defy you to identify it blind. Definitely a hold but worth a re-visit in 2-3 years. There is something here.

Jam-a-licious nose. Elegant and suave nose...chocolate-flowers. Crushed blackberries, full bodied with alluring tannins. Mid palate shows granite, tobacco and ground coffee. Finished like a dream, smoldering asphalt and smoke. Paired well with an 120 day aged NY Strip.

Absolute shocker, both Jennifer and I pegged it as a Cab. One of the top three best Merlot produced. Rich supple mouthfeel hitting notes of chocolate and crushed black fruit. Elegant supple finish. Wonderful. @Martin G Rivard thank you for getting Jennifer and I in here for a tasting, it was amazing brother!

Scorched earth and black fruit. One of my favorites. The official Merlot of Satan.
