I quite like this Naked Wines offering. It’s a strong showing of a mid priced Petite Sirah but low price. I will say the 2019 is ready to drink now (2023) and might not go much further.

Very dark colors meet a quite earthy nose: plenty of leather, blackberry, and dark cherry, some wood (oak) notes too. Medium tannins and medium body lead to a medium length finish.

A worthy successor to Mr. Bruno’s superlative 2016 vintage, this is a big but smooth wine. The silky, cool mouthfeel has pleasant hints of black pepper. Blueberry and cherry fruits burst forward, and there is a very nice tingly finish. Bellissimo!

This is a full bodied red with black pepper tones dominant. It sports flavors of cherry, voyage, green bell pepper and winter melon, with a sort of dry watermelon flavor to the finish. A consummate food wine, I have probably consumed close to a case of this wine, sans review. It is one of those super-versatile food wines that pairs with almost anything. Tonight we enjoyed it with beef bulgogi bowls, with carrots, cucumbers, and sriracha cream. Bellissimo!

Full body with a sort of berry on the nose, maybe blue or blackberry with a hint of smoke on the finish.

Pink ruby color. Medium plus tears. Spice on the nose with mature red fruit and earth. On the palate, cherry, leather, pleasantly off dry with balanced tannins. Well balanced enough to drink by itself with enough backbone to stand up to rich foods. Excellent.
