Heritage Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

A bit disappointing. Thought this was Browne of Kosta Browne (using just his surname post-sale) but alas, it is not.

Smooth big bodied cab from Chapman tasting.

Nuanced and layered. Bright red fruit with hints of earth and funk and a faint smokiness. Great acid but without sacrificing structure.

I really enjoy the funk and earthy flavors I get from this. It is not a usual Pinot Noir that can be more cherry or berry forward. But I always keep a couple of bottles at home.

V16. Pretty good. Soft bacon and candied cherry nose. Black cherry fruit. Semi dry, soft mocha, and earthy finish.

Nice red and dark fruit character. Maybe a hint of plum. Very soil or forest floor forward. Would be awesome with mushrooms.

This is by far my favorite Pinot Noir. It has a very nice ruby color, is absolutely clear, has a medium body, medium notes of primarily red fruit, and an exquisite medium finish. There is no amber ring in the glass, something I typically do see in most Pinots. This wine is perfectly ready for drinking. If you were to blind taste this, you might mistake it for a lighter Merlot. From Willamette Valley, it is superb. If you have had Montinore Pinot Noir, you’ll notice this to have a fuller mouth feel and longer finish.
