La Grivelière Tête de Cuvée Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend

Bright berries, crackling black pepper. Friendly, easy, a little light in structure, but #dailytable approved.

blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah, the long, hot, dry growing season produced great wines, and this Cairanne is from some of the oldest plots of the appellation, 100 years for the Grenache! The combination of the vineyards and the vintage produced reds with great focus, dark aromas of plums and red cherries with plenty of tannins and structure.

Surprisingly good sub $15 CdR.
5 years of sleeping treated it well.

Peppery, berries, easy drinking

Wonderful ready-to-drink Rhone. Plum and blackberry with a leathery finish. Nice tannins. Went really well with fajitas.

$10 at Pinehurst...my fav to date in that section

Much better on the second day after it was opened, would change rating to 8.3.
