Medium, getting on for deep, ruby. Intriguing nose - garrigue-like herbs, perhaps a bit of menthol, pan juices, earth, mushroom (especially when first opened) and blue and back berry/cherry fruit. Entry has nice, fairly ripe fruit to start, redder included - raspberry, cherry and into the darker fruits of the nose. Then feels as if, without the fruit receding, the meat and herbs notes start to flow right to the finish, the back palate and length really quite complext sweet/savoury, tugged along by tannins that look Dao/Douro with great acid. Delicious.
