Saumur Cabernet Franc

Great Cab Franc, showing sense of place. Nice vegetal character and dark fruit.

Warm red fruit, earthy and vegetal (in a good way)

Definitely tightly wound in a good way... nervy red fruit; herbal inflections, and nice green pepper notes. Quenchable even on a warm summer evening.

Lean. Red ripe crunchy fruit. Light-bodied, high-toned. I quite enjoyed this.

Bright light red color and high toned fruit balanced by firm savory notes.

Saumur Rouge

Cherry juice, dry earth, black tea. A bit more fruit than some Loire can francs, but excellent balance of acid, dirt, and fruit notes.
