North Coast Pinot Noir

Ruby with aromas of red fruits and floral spice. On the palate cherry and strawberry flavors with sweet herbs, balanced acidity and fine tannins. The finish is medium and ends with spicy oak tones.

A bit vegetal on the nose.

Too young. Hot hot hot with a dark red shade, raspberry and rose on the nose and a tannic, woody, prune taste. It’s sticking to my gums and I’m not too happy about it. (Sample)

Dark ruby in color with a wide light burgundy rim.

Nice nose of blueberries, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, medicine, light earth, acetone and black pepper.

Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs, smooth and gentle.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, currants, vanilla, wood, spices, peppercorn, green herbs and earth.

Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.

This is a nice surprise. This Californian Pinot Noir from the North Coast is well balanced with mild complexity and a gentle mouthfeel. Didn't like the nose as much. Nonetheless, I haven't seen many Pinot Noirs at this price point, as good.

Good by itself or with food. Needs 20 minutes of airtime to open up properly and show some tannins.

I paired it with light appetizers.

V16. Enjoyable. Smokey nose, fresh black and blue berry fruit. Slightly tart, earthy finish. Nice entertaining wine.
