Kretikos Kotsifali Mandilaria Blend
Crete, Greece
Kotsifali, mandilaria
Top Notes For
Pale red, almost brick like color on this blend of kotsifali (60%) and mandilaria (40%) red. Nose full of wood and a little acetone, with some red fruits thrown in. The red fruits dominate the palate, the tannins are smooth but the finish finishes too quickly. This is a good wine to open with friends, but I wouldn't bring it to a dinner.

First had this wine in Miami at Taverna Opa when I was 21. My palate has definitely changed, but I'm still digging this.
