Highly regarded Greek red variety, sadly didn't get to drink this in it's native home so in our home whilst reminiscing will do.
For $20 this is a great wine.

В аромате изюм, сладкий боярышник, медовые тона. Клубника в сиропе, крепкий сладкий чёрный чай. В развитии кофе, гудрон. Среднетелое+, высокая кислотность, мощные танины. Во вкусе вишня, клубника, белый перец, замша. Отчётливая солоноватость. 17/20

Mild bodied, but has a meatiness that can be compared to salt-marinated bison tomatoes. Pairs well with potato moussaka and shepherd's pies.

2008. In Oia at sunset! Ahhhh. Light but pleasant, a bit Chianti - ish, round. Efkharisto Santorini!

This vintage is good but not as complex or layered as I remember older vintages being. Still nice spice, herbs and dried red berries.
