Bonterra Vineyards
The Roost Blue Heron Vineyard Chardonnay
Pale lemon color with aromas of stone fruits and blossom and spice, aged 14 months in (25% new) French oak. On the palate flavors of apple and pear with a touch of zesty lemon, crisp, with cinnamon and vanilla notes. Nice mouthfeel, vivid acidity, medium+ finish ending with fruit, vanilla and earthy citrus mineral character. Biodynamic, Nice!

Apr 9th, 2024Slight toast, and green apple on the bouquet. Crisp green apple with a creamy finish. Nicely made, won't disappoint , nor impress.

Feb 6th, 2016@Bonterra 2015 The Roost Blue Heron Vineyard Chardonnay (SRP $45): This Chardonnay is made from biodynamic grapes sourced from Bonterra’s Blue Heron vineyard in Mendocino County, California. If you are a member of the Anything But Chardonnay (ABC) club, this wine just may be your ticket out. Notable for its lovely texture; there are flavors of lemon curd, caramel apple, pear tart, and baking spice framed by notes of toasted oak. In the mouth, it is well-rounded with zesty acidity providing balance and lift. I enjoyed a generous splash last week with a delicious bowl of butternut squash soup. #winestudio #Chardonnay #biodynamic #biodynamicfarming #MendocinoCounty #cawine #wine #winelover
