Top Notes For
Had the 2002 just to check and see how they are doing. Was a little worried when I opened the bottle (screw cap) and I saw so much residue on the cap. This wine was still drinking amazingly, my first experience with older bottles under screw cap. The wine was still so alive and would easily be mistaken for a Rhone wine. Very little fruit and so much earth! Tasted like the fall day we were in the middle off, wet forest floor, wet sidewalks and a touch of barnyard. Had hints of fruit in the background, but was as earthy of a wine as I've had in a while. Beautiful and will buy more to put away.
