Stewed cherry and molasses nose. Cherry pie, stewed fig, molasses, spice and minerals on the palate. Chewy tannins and medium acid on the finish. This vintage (2012) improves every time I try it.

Dark red in color. The pepper and mineral nose gives away its CA central coast heritage. There are also molasses notes. Dark fruit and stewed fruit predominates. I expect more tannins with the viscous texture, but it isn't there. It does finish with moderate acid.
