Nose of stewed sweet-tart cherries, vanilla and violets. Big, round, velveteen body with slight grippy tannin and a nice sultry acid. Slight garnet at this point. Dunno if RBG was a NW Pinot fan but I pour a glug of this chewy beast out in her honor (and pray to Bacchus for a miracle.)

Each time I open a Borkenoogen Pinot Noir from the Santa Lucia Highlands , the nose and the mouth are exceptional. Borkenoogen continues consistent wines.
