Jesus! So bizarre, but so good. Oxidized in appearance and aroma would make me expect oloroso: bruised, baked fruit, maple, carmelized, nutty pecan, maybe some cahew, baking spice...then I take a sip. Bright acid, dry, pithy citrus, and a saline quality. There's the Palomino Fino! Super interesting, really a thinking wine and so rare to see a Palo Cortada. Something I've read about, but finally experienced. It's a bucket lister.

Pale amber. Hazelnuts and toast and peaches in nose. Tangy and citrus on the palate delicious and light and refreshing. Great with citric dishes

Jun 28th, 2021Superb Amontillado by one of Jerez’s youngest bodegas, in spite of its name. 100% Palomino aged in the solera system for an average of 45 years - first as fino under flor a veil and then, and then a much longer time of oxidative aging. Very elegant, complex nose with aromas of hazelnuts, orange rind. Dry, delicate, it feels quite light. Saline.

Även det här är ett återbesök hos ett nyligen dricket vin. Men jag klagar inte. Skulle kunna hälla denna på mig som parfym. Magisk doft med en löjligt antal lager av smaker. Frisk och salt smak som får än att önska att man hade lite oljig fet tapas nära till hands.
