Rich sexy modernist Spanish wine. Red raspberry jelly. Bacon fat. Hint of smoke.

Great. One of the best Spanish wines I've had. Vanilla, stone fruit, bold flavors.

Punchy and intense nose as can be expected from a tinta de toro. Falls short on the finish; tad sour and alcoholic. Still in search of balance.

Had 2010 vintage. Never had a wine from the Tinta de Toro tempranillo grape. A lot of licorice under tones. Very heavy. Might have gone well with steak or lamb. Not alone. Tried 30 minutes later, breathing didn't help much.

What a difference in Tempranillo from Toro vs Rioja! Great fruit. Where's the steak?

Good expression of Tempranillo from toro. Higher in alcohol, a bigger wine, still nice fruits and long finish.

Mild aroma of oak and cherry. Very mild with more spice than fruit but not overpowering. Tannic unappetizing aroma but not bad.
