Reserva Roda Rioja Tempranillo Blend

Roda Reserva 2010: meaty, leather, light vanilla. Sweet plum, strawberry, quite spicy. Fuller bodied, but with decent grip, chewy tannin, light on acid. Meaty, leather, notch of vanilla with oak, cedar and a faint hint of tobacco. Much more structure than normal. Has a faint hint of tradition with power, and intensity. 91

Sour black cherries, leather, bay leaf, dried tobacco, roasted plums, eucalyptus, menthol, cinnamon, vanilla bean. Excellent acid/rough velvet tannin balance, silky texture, lush full bodied, long complex herbal/smoky/spicy finish. Drinking good now, recommended for Cab Sauv drinkers. Great cellaring potential.

Well balanced wine with nicely integrated oak. Dark fruit, tobacco, some cedar dominate the palate. Nice firm tannins with good acidity.

(16.5/20) Аромат спелых вишни, сливы с нотами кожи и кокоса. Тельное с умеренной кислотностью и довольно интенсивными, но зрелыми и мягкими танинами. Концентрированно ягодное во вкусе. Продолжительное послевкусие.

Yum. Elegant with more rich fruit than I was expecting.
