Winery, recently celebrated its 75th anniversary. A blend of 90% Riojan Tempranillo with 10% Mazuelo and Graciano. Deep red with big aromas of black fruit, currants and woodsy spice. On the palate flavors of red fruits, cherry and plum with tobacco and herbs. Surprisingly calm dusty tannins, good acidity with citrus mineral tones, cacao and toasty notes on the medium finish. Nice value.

Vintage 2004 - classic. Lots of minerals and high acidity. Long aftertaste. #rioja

Leans modern but resolutely Rioja. Cleaner fruit and with better honed tannins than most at this tier.

Deep ruby in color with an orange rim.

On the nose, black fruits, vanilla, American oak and black pepper.

Fruity on the palate with oak, blueberries, tar, blackberries, earth and dirt.

Medium bodied with medium acidity.

Big finish with aggressive tannins yet round.

Aged for 20 months in oak barrels and then 20 months in the bottle.

14% alcohol by volume.

90% Tempranillo, 5% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo

Excellent wine. Very smooth, not too fruity, and well balanced.

Vivid maroon red with aromas of black fruit, currants, plum and woodsy spice. Smooth tannins, good acidity with mineral tones. Some cacao and toasty notes were on the medium length finish. Nice value.
