This is one off the wall wine for me. Definitely different then I expected. Not your typical white wine. This 2012 VS Murua Rioja is 50% Viura, 30% Malvasia and 20% Granacha Blanca. On the nose I get orange peel, Good & Plenty Candy, Anise, citrus and minerality. On the palate I have licorice, vanilla bean, over ripe orange, a good acidity and medium long finish. Totally different and something I would have to get used to.

Sep 3rd, 2014This was certainly one of the most unusual wines I've ever tasted. It smelled, tasted, and burned like tequila. Didn't know that was even possible in a wine. Well it is. And it's not for me.
