Wasn't expecting to enjoy this so much. Immediately after opening, it's bursting with sweet cherries and ripe plums, sweet but not in a cloying way. After resting and chilling a bit, the sweetness is toned down and balanced by tannic sour cherry skin and some savory grill char. Some stoney sharpness as well.
The color is deep dark red and the body is medium-light.
Doesn't have tons of depth or complexity but still highly enjoyable both alone and with food. Excellent value!
