A really earthy Reserva, aromatics of tobacco, cassis, cherry cola, rose petals, and vanilla. Nice dark color, you can almost taste the American oak. Very little fruit but a strong green chili vibe and ends with strong herbaceous notes.

Same bottle as had 5+ years ago when we rated as an 8.7. Our tastes have changed! (Or the bottle has)- now we really don’t like it. Even after more than 90 mins of airing it was still quite tannic. Medium ruby red color, nose of wet earth & lots of spice. First taste very dry, minerality and quite acidic. Not that smooth- just not a great wine. Next day after vacuum recorking & wine cooler holding I changed to an 8.4 from 8.2!
