Being from Ontario Chivite's wines are really the only ones from Navarra we get. I remember these wines from 15 years ago and they always over perform for the price. My dad gave me this 09 for Xmas 15 and I must say it has been years since I have had one but it's great. The balance and complexity makes up for the lack of power in spades. Bright and juicy with layers that keep you intrigued. A 12$ wine that after 6+ years is fresh as a daisy. High score is for value. Has another 10 years in it.

В первом носе голубика, йогуртовые ноты. Сливовая кожица, вишня, много черного перца, кожа. Тело лёгкое, очень сочное, высокая кислотность. Во вкусе перченная клубника, вишня, земляничное послевкусие. Хороший прямолинейный образец старой школы. 15,5/20

Smooth but impressionably boring. Does not invigorate the palate, but does its job. Ok to bring to a generic party.

Really liked this one.. Doesn't need a food pairing. Worth it on sale, not full price.

Great tasting and value! Has flexibility in its flavours profile to be a great match with many tapas offering from Spicy - sweet - fish - pork.
Warm cherry pepper front, mid palate has smoke not over powering dark fruit finish with perfect length for a less expensive wine.
Best served with a slight chill and no need to decant...so a good wine to order at tapas bars.
