Red brown on the edges and see through in the middle. Drinking beautifully with a lingering nose dark fruit and cinnamon. Outstanding!! It got better as the night went on.

Slightly musty nose of dried rose, plum, sour cherry. Lovely depth on the palate with dark fruit, some soured notes a touch of Madeira and a slightly drying finish. This has been open for over a week, so it’s holding up remarkably well for a wine of this age. Lovely stuff- a testament to the ageability of rioja.
