Jul 13th, 2016I'm drinking this outside in summer warmth, so the nose is crazy intense, almost to clove sharpness. Palate is warm, soft and balanced between overall acid and just the right touch of sweetness. Chalky tannins are a big part of the texture, and the finish lets all the red fruit and baking spices you'd expect linger enjoyably. Solid with a creamy tangy washed-rind Italian Taleggio cheese.
