Bodegas Casa Castillo
Vin de Finca Jumilla Monastrell
Wet earth on the nose, some red fruit with baking spice. Sour cherry, earth and a hint of violet on the palate, with light acidity and light tannins at the finish.

Jan 18th, 2023Really surprising. I don’t know Spanish wines well but what always comes to mind for me is tannin, leather and dark fruit if any. This is bright and jammy with just a touch of those darker, tannic characteristics on the finish.

Oct 18th, 2022Not bad, but not great. A bit of leather, with a bite to the juice.

Aug 1st, 2021I am not going to lie. I rate this higher because it is labeled “Jumilla”. I drink a lot of wine and this region never disappoints. One day out to dinner with your friends, who you are trying to impress, you will say wines from this region are excellent, and they will think you are wonderful. Thank you.
