Nice overall. Good wine for a Friday night. Much improved after a few hours.

Prominent nose with ripe cherries, vanilla and herbs (tarragon). Quite light in the mouth with more cherries, well balanced acidity and smooth tannins.

Intense ruby red from Bierzo in northwestern Spain, full-bodied red, bold tannins, notes of hot peppers, preserved fruit, blackberries, vanilla, delicious, enjoy with strong cheese.

Pretty solid for $10 but not terribly complex. Cherry, vanilla, some spice but not a long finish or a ton of structure. Tastes younger than it is. This will probably decant well and open up after a few hours, but mama's thirsty.

10/16/15 - Wine shop nickel wine
Has a slight acidity, more than anticipated based on the oaked and slightly fruity nose
