This simple Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina is drinkable now, but needs a little more time in the bottle to calm down. Still unbalanced, spicy and unattractive with a soft mouthfeel. Smells a bit fake on the nose and hot at the back of the throat.
Made with 100% Malbec grapes that were grown at around 3,000 feet elevation.
13% alcohol by volume.

Sep 25th, 2017Not a strong nose, and a bit harsh on the palate to start. But I think it opens up - some acidity. Not a very standout wine, but pairs well with food. Decent quality for the price, about $10.
