Interesting, but didn't have the balance for the acid. Where over-the-top CA wines tend to be over-extracted and too opulently marketable for my taste, this was far too "artsy" for lack of a better term. I would have a hard time finding an audience for this.

Considered an 8.9, but wasn’t complex / interesting enough to get there. The Malbec / Pinot Noir combo gives an almost Sangiovese impression. Cherry, slatey earth. Medium acidity. Light without being dainty.

Weird. I really liked this when I first tried it. The past two bottles though have tasted so funky, so off. I actually called the last one corked and this one almost seems like it too. Not bad up front, but finishes really dirty and grimmy.
