Clos de los Siete Malbec Blend

Purpley hue, alcohol and wet mulch on the nose, lots of cola notes, on the acidic side, but a nice smooth finish.

Enjoyed thoroughly with Christmas dinner.

Nose: raisin, black pepper, slate, black cherry. Taste: cherry, some spice, more dried fruit, light tannins and balance alc and acidity. Limited finish. J: 7.5, c8.3

Just a smooth and lustrous drop. Plenty going on but an overall velvety feel

For $20, can't really go wrong. Packs a punch, quite good

Was on a value buy/diversify kick and don't even remember picking this one up so I assumed Argentina = Malbec. Immediately upon uncorking I was hit with a smell of smoke, and herb reminiscent of garrigue plus fruit. Snorted the glass and and got more blackberry. But the first swig was also pencil lead and tobacco on top of plummy fruit. So I researched and see this is really like a right bank Bordeaux with a hint of Provence. Long finish. Argentina flexes its muscle!
