Dinner after the game with the wifey. Diet cheat night. Steak, Lobster, and a nice Malbec. Rick and Shaila, thanks for breaking us from our Pinot Noor and exploring the Malbec family.

Nov 11th, 2017Cafayete - this is high altitude Malbec. Blend of 4 vineyards from 1700m up to 3100m!
Clear, deep purple with heavy legs - lost of alcohol. Bit of nail polish on the nose at the beginning fades off into fruity red ripe plums and dark ripe cherries in liquor. Medium body, still youthful. Dry, with medium acidity and tannins and high in alcohol. Oak and charred wood flavored. Good quality Malbec, that needs some time to open up.
