Nice dark inky in color with a thin purple rim.
Needed 3 hours to open up.
Started with a barnyard nose, and after a few hours, dark fruits emerged with minerals, metals and black pepper.
Full bodied and polished with beautiful legs.
Much fruitier on the palate with blueberries, figs,plums, boysberries, lots of black pepper and fresh spices.
Long finish with peppercorn and silky tannins.
Great Malbec . Went well by itself and also with medium hard cheese.
14% alcohol by volume.

Was good once some air got into it. Suggest decanting for an hour or so.

Feb 26th, 2016Wow, what a delightful Malbec. I don't like some Malbecs as I find them too much, but this one was just right. I didn't find it needed a long time to aerate, I just swirled it in my glass as I do with heavy reds anyways.
