For the price of the bottle, this is great stuff. BTG all day long.

Gorgeous nose, delicious up front, great structure, but with time an unpleasant bitter vegetal note creeps in. Could be bottle specific, but had a similar experience tasting the 2011 vintage.

This is the best Uruguayan wine I’ve had, but I also believe it is my last bottle from this country. This Tannat was very strong, and perhaps too strong to consume with anything. Powerful sweetness to start, ending with intense licorice flavor and some flavor of cough syrup. None of the elegance of Madiran Tannat was present in this wine. It was well made but still too intense.

Absolutely best Tannant I’ve ever tasted. Very deep ruby color with some brownish tones but almost impenetrable. Beautiful nose with forest floor, game blood, ripe red fruit, and a bit of oak. The pallet is is pure finesse with an balanced and embolden mouthfeel. Fruit and iron are dominant with a long slightly tannic (still) finish. Impressive.
