Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Nice nose of blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, wildflowers, alcohol, spices, chocolates, peppercorn, vegetables, bell pepper and bitter herbs.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate, and tart, with cranberries, pomegranates, licorice, vegetables, pencil lead, vanilla, wood, tobacco, cloves, herbs, spices and peppercorn.
Medium plus in finish with firm tannins and tangy cranberries.
This Tuscan red is unbalanced, with mild complexity. A good food wine, though. Not my style, but drinkable nonetheless.
A blend of 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Sangiovese and 33% Merlot.
The wine maker is Andrea Bocelli's brother, I'm not sure that it matters, though.
I paired it with Pasta Bolognese.
