We had this on the table for a dinner where we served red and white wine simultaneously. It makes for a crowded place setting, but in this case, it worked. The blend here is robust but spritely. Just like you might take a mouthful of meat followed by a mouthful of a veggie casserole, serving wine like this lets you bounce between tastes too. I think it's important to go with similar-bodied wines to pull this off though. We used a lighter-in-style Cab Syrah on the red side and it all worked very well.
