This wine has been sitting around my place for 16 years! Turning it a couple times a year...
Upon opening the cork was soft and barely pulled out, with it being a dark red at the tip a soaked in for about 1/8 inch.
Fragrance had strong spice, dark berry and alcohol essence!
Surprisingly, it drank really smoothly with silky flavors of dark maraschino cherry, dark berry, vanilla, spice and chocolate! Not what I expected from a merlot...perhaps it aged very well.
