07' Bertani della Valpolicella Amarone Classico. Layers of JAM & rich ripened dark red & black fruit. A raisin mix at the tail end of the palate. An hour + in the decanter and it barely budged. It's obviously going to get even better with time. Edit- 2nd hour- It's all come together to be a fantastic wine. One of a few wines my wife and I have had by our selves!

2007 - #bertaniacademy Nice color transparency for this typical Amarone from the Novare Cru. Still very young at this stage, it's coherent with the classy and elegant wine style of this producer.

A nice smoky wine but not what I would consider a classic Amarone.. where are the raisins?.. decanted and open for 3 hours.

Lucious smooth soft tannins. Cherry flavors, chocolate low acidity. Nice!

A very elegant but bold wine. I know that sounds like a contrast but trust me on this. Excellent tastes of dried figs, dried cherries, and a little road tar carried on a sleek tannin backbone. Nice smoky overtones. An excellent Amerone!

7 anni di affinamento in azienda hanno un suo imprescindibile perché è la beva ne gode assai. Grande equilibrio nonostante il tanto di tutto e tutto sommato elegante.
