This didn't come off like a 20 year wine at all. Honey dew and caramel. Good balance, not too sweet and nice acidity. I was not in optimum drinking position at this point after 10-12 wines however.....

The crown of the evening last night... When is the last time you had a 40 year old riesling? A first for me! 1975 weingut Herrenberg, Serriger Herrenberg riesling Auslese. Awesome sweet spice, nutty, secondary fruit, some musky barnyard notes and still very lively acidity! Lots of fun!
