Delicious. Dark and ripe with great structure still. Everything is fresh and delightful. Great with a New York steak. This shows how good Carmel valley can be. It is Bordeaux like but with obvious California pedigree and excellent winemaking. This should go easily 5 more years and still be at its peak. Decant for sediment

Yum. This 2012 has not lost a step since release. A special wine for a special occasion . Happy 40th birthday @Noel Brandl! Loads of fruit. Lots of life left and perfect with the entrees. Very Bordeaux like in its makeup

Very Bordeaux like. I wouldn't be surprised to see this still drinking well in another 10 years. Typical carmel valley profile with lots of nuance and earth to round out the balances friut

Drinking really really well. Drinks like a 15 yr old bordeaux. Supple tannins, a touch of earth on the nose with still-beautiful fruit. Way to go carmel valley!
