1999 Dugat-Py Gevry 1er from mag. In a perfect place now. Ripe and opulent but with secondary components emerging.

Had this a year ago and enjoyed it more than the bottle tonight. This was a bit too much - tannins and fruit both on the higher side. Frankly not sure I would have identified it as Pinot if blinded. Putting that aside, can’t argue with the depth of fruit and ultimately the seamlessness this delivers. Nice pairing with roast chicken and mushrooms.

Nice aromatics, with bright Pinot flavors. Sweet dark cherry fruits, crushed violets, dried herbs and baking spices.
