Benoit Roseau
Cuvée Patagone St. Joseph Syrah
Saturated ruby. Fresh black and blue fruits and violet on the nose, with a spicy element adding vivacity. Pliant cassis, bitter cherry and floral pastille flavors open up slowly and become sweeter with air. Smooth tannins shape the clinging finish, which echoes the blue fruit and pepper notes. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, September 2019)

Sep 6th, 2019Nose is a bit funky and meaty (salami?), some spice or earthiness. Intriguing. Bitter cherry and some smoke with the meaty leathery undertone, substantial tannins but not overpowering or unbalanced. Lingers nicely.
