Color of dark purple, bloody red, quite dark indeed. Nose of oak, ripe cherry, dried strawberries, green pepper, some grassy note. Taste is similar to the nose. Flavors are straight and plenty. Some more vanilla, black tea, spice, zest, and polished tannins. Aftertaste is smooth with some more raisin note. Well done.

Mar 29th, 2018Very good as a food pairing. Smooth with no overwhelming notes. Not really a sipper, but a dependable staple for the rack.

Jan 24th, 2018Color of deep purple, yet clear if facing the light. Nose of nose e cherry jam, a bit tobacco leaves, and a bit oaky. Taste is nice, a lot of flavors, such as cherry jam, sweet oak and raisins, peppery, chewy and mouthful. The finish is long with oaky note, more cherry, a bit bitter, and a bit sweet note.

Oct 28th, 2017Got off work from managing a restaurant. Broiled a kosher hot dog and placed it in a warm tortilla with exquisite cheese, sautéed onions and brown mustard. Looked for a simple but good wine to accompany. This wine hits your nose with blackberry, boysenberry and blueberry jam. Palate is as satisfactory as this hot dog feels in my hungry stomach.
