Ben Ami
Kosher Cabernet Sauvignon
#kosherwineSunday
A pretty color of ruby with a wide reddish/ brick rim.
On the nose cherries, light oak, earth, cloves, chocolates, wet leaves, herbs and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, raspberries, spices, light wood, vinaigrette, earth, black tea and peppercorn.
Nice length on the finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a nice surprise. This 5 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Israel is still drinking nicely. Actually, I liked it better now, than I did 3 years ago, when it was fresh.
Already lost a lot of the fruits, but there is still enough there. Not fully balanced at this point.
Showing mild complexity with a nice mouthfeel, and feels like an aged Southern Rhône.
Good right out of the bottle and better with food.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the upper Galilee region were aged in oak barrels. Kosher and Mevushal.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
89 points.
$12.
