Heathcote Vermentino
See notes for 2018. I think I preferred the 2018 for its freshness to this 2016 which was not as lively but just as delicious.

Mar 22nd, 2021Fruit from Chalmers in Heathcote. The same DNA as the Champion Wine of the Toowoomba Show. Really enjoying these whites from Heathcote better known for its big reds. Great aromatics and textural on the palate - clean acid finish.

Texture, salty on the nose and tongue.
@Delectable Wine this wine is not from Finger Lakes NY

Nothing really going on with this on nose or palate. Just a little salty. Disappointed.

Jun 19th, 2016Salty, savory, citrusy. Fantastic texture too. Another ripper from cool fruit by Sue Bell.

Jan 13th, 2017Textural, crisp and a little briney. This wine has changed immensely over time in the glass and a few degrees warmer. Certainly a massive hit of sea spray leaping out of the glass with notes redolent of green apple skins, rosemary, wet stone, white peaches and lemon zest. Palate is super clean and polished with a minerally aspect to it's acid. It's herbal aronatics add a savoury element to the wine. Palate is fresh, lemon flesh-like flavour and chalky in its texture. Another impressive wine from an awesome producer. Heathcote fruit too.
