Clear, dark garnet in the glass. Lovely “leather and lace” nose gives new shoes and violets over black cherry compote. Medium body with bright acidity on the floral, purple fruit palate. Medium tannins round out the medium finish. A great wine for a range of foods, particularly red sauce pasta or pizza. The floral qualities play off of bright tomatoes wonderfully. At under ten dollars it’s a nice QPR, too!
