Nose is still enticing and gets better in the glass but not much vibrancy left on the palate though the acidity and still firm structure went well with the pork dish from Amah.

Third try of the half bottle format. Tasted better than previous. Still lively and full of that secondary notes of old Calif cabs. Got another twenty to getting through!

Skinner auction demi 24 in owc. Maybe heading downhill?. Nose reticent then opened up in half hr with notes of that peppery cab Franc and earthiness. Palate shows some Bordeaux like wood and earth and tannin. Quite lean but we'll structured and not your New World fruity style. Medium finish. Still a value at less than nine bucks each. Upping score. Opening up after an hour or more. More classic Bordeaux nose. Apparently vineyard was run the old style way with horses!
