Tar, charcoal, chalk and clay.. all about structure... very tannic upon opening... underneath all that, there are signs of black fruit, brown spice, damp earth, anise and school paint.
Sturdy and strict, yet interesting..
A couple of hours of aeration softened this wine significantly! Up two notches!
