This week our group tasted nine Cabs from arround the world, all from the 2001. Really interesting what 20 years of aging can do depending on the terroir. VA big time, NR

This label feels like the world now. In between rounds but getting ready to kick some ass!

Big wine. Super young. Big dry oaked tannin on the finish here. The fruits are black and blue no doubt. Hint of vanilla here. Almost tastes like mountain fruit on the cab portion, and the 10% PS in this blend really adds a lot of depth and weight. This was a good balance to some of the older wines on the table tonight. Will be better in 3-5 years. So if you have this wine in your cellar, keep it right on the shelf because this one has some serious integrating to do. 9.2 will be more like 9.5 at maturity.

This is a perfect cigar wine. Fruit forward. Big ripe red cherries with some spice, cedar box and jolly rangers. Easy drinking.
