Fresh black cherry and plum fruit, some red tones mixed in like cranberry possibly red currant, blood orange, flowers. Some really pretty spice notes. Fine boned, tannins are assertive, edgy and chalky, stern and persistent. They drive the wine from front to back, lingering about. Acidity is nicely elevated and adds a lot of fresh character. Young and tight, definitely too young at this point, night 2 was much more generous. Not sure about winemaking, but it seems like a wine made for large format cooperage.
