The first wholly made vintage from the Jacques Fourrier team after the purchase from Phillip Jones. ( NB. I said this about the 2020 vintage but I now believe it was this 2021). Another wine maker we visited recently in Gippsland gave these wines from the new regime a glowing endorsement so I decided to have a bottle of the entry level Cuvée from 2021 to check the difference. More ripe and voluptuous than the previous owner’s entry level - more “drink now “ than previous but I will keep the next 2 bottles for a few years. Notes of black cherry and liquorice. Quite delicious.
