Grk
Grk is a fascinating grape. The vines need intervention of another grape varietal to pollinate, as all the Grk plants are female. The vineyard is planted to mixed rows of red and white grapes.
Abundant floral and citrus aromas bound from the glass. On the tongue the wine is very dry with stone, gentle herb, and pith flavors. Definitely food friendly. I’m certain this is a wine many vintners can get wrong, but I am pleased with this wine.

Ripe, broad and quite rich yet pithy & juicy - this full of character and dangerously drinkable ( the 14%!).
Brimming full with ripe white peaches, meadow flowers and honey melon, on the palate this is surprisingly savoury & dry. Nicely balanced and shows good precision, depth & length.
A truly lovely wine, and so food friendly.

My first taste of grk, the mysterious grape grown only in Lumbarda on the island of Korčula. And it’s stunning. Bright, flowery citrus nose. Flavor with strong minerality and hints of oak. I’m in love. If you come across a grk, you MUST drink it.
